Denis Shafikov and Richard Commey both made weight for their IBF lightweight title eliminator, which takes place Friday at the Tough Fight Gym in Moscow, Russia.

Shafikov tipped the scale at 134 ¼ pounds at today’s weigh-in, while Commey weighed in at 134 ¾ pounds.

Shafikov (37-2-1, 20 knockouts) stopped Jamel Herring in his most recent bout on July 2. The 31-year-old from Miass, Russia has fought for a world title on two occasions, losing to Miguel Vazquez in February of 2014 and to Rances Barthelemy on Dec. 18.

Commey (24-1, 22 KOs) is coming off a split decision loss to Robert Easter Jr. on Sept. 9. In this bout, the vacant IBF lightweight title was on the line.

Commey is ranked No. 3 by the IBF, while Shafikov is ranked No. 5. THE RING magazine ranks Commey at No. 5 and Shafikov at No. 7.
