British heavyweight sensation Anthony Joshua will defend his IBF heavyweight title at The O2 in London, England, on June 25.

Joshua, who is rated No. 6 by THE RING, landed the belt at the same venue last month, dispatching American Charles Martin inside two rounds. The London 2012 Olympic gold medalist barely took a punch in anger in that contest and now returns for his maiden defense, with further information on the opponent and ticket availability to be released next week.

“If there is a date to get in your diary its June 25 – first title defence, The O2,” said Joshua who is unbeaten at 16-0 (16 KOs). “Opponent to be announced but I just spoke to coach and I told him I am feeling great and I can’t wait to get back in to camp. I want to be active so that is why I chose the closest date. I appreciate you guys and I can’t wait to see you again and put on a great performance.”
