The boxing fraternity has been clamoring for unbeaten heavyweight colossus Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13 knockouts) to face a significant test and it has arrived in the form of unbeaten British power puncher Dillian Whyte.

The pair will collide for the British title in November or December, according to promoter Eddie Hearn’s Twitter account, with a venue yet to be decided.

This fight will likely mark the first time that Joshua, an Olympic gold medal winner at London 2012, will not be criticized for the quality of his opposition. Whyte (14-0, 11 knockouts) is a solid operator, who defeated Joshua as an amateur in 2009, and they have had a long running rivalry for several years.

Whyte forward a message to Hearn’s Twitter account shortly after the bout was confirmed, “I promise I won’t hurt him (Joshua) too much.”
