Eye of The Tiger Management has signed 2023 World Championship middleweight bronze medalist Moreno Fendero to a promotional contract.

Over the past few months, the Canadian promotional powerhouse has added new fighters to its burgeoning stable, including world-rated light heavyweight Albert Ramirez and talented young amateurs Erik israelyan and Jhon Orobio.

Fendero, who had over 150 amateur contests, is from Central African Republic but boxed on the International amateur circuit for France and was a standout amateur fighting around the globe. His best moment came when he reached the semi-final of the recent World Championships, in Uzbekistan, only to lose to eventual gold medalist Yoenlis Hernandez.

EOTT moved quickly to secure his services. He will move to Montreal and link up with renowned trainer Marc Ramsay.

Fendero will make his professional debut, at super middleweight, on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev-Callum Smith, in Quebec City, Montreal, Quebec, on August 19.

The recently turned 24-year-old, whose nickname is “El Toro,” due to his aggressive fighting style, is described as “a southpaw Christian Mbilli.”

If he can back up those claims and be as exciting as the aforementioned Mbilli, he will be a crowd favorite in his new home and also back in France.
