The weekend is approaching, and from Friday to Sunday it will be “fight-o-clock” somewhere in the world. Every Thursday, The Ring will bring you the most up-to-date information on the most relevant fights you need to see in this week-at-a-glance, one-stop enhanced fight schedule. A quick checklist for the cognoscenti, a useful nuts-and-bolts guide for the boxing neophyte is what we’re aiming at.

Here are this week’s most relevant fights:

Friday, December 1 – Coliseo de Combates, Panama

Derrieck Cuevas vs. Marlon Aguas – welterweight – 10 rounds

Cuevas and Aguas will face off in a battle of once-beaten fighters in need of a statement win to stay alive in the super competitive welterweight division. That recipe alone should be enough to tune in. Let’s hope they deliver on the promise of this solid matchup.

Also on this card:

Azael Villar vs. Ricardo Astuvilca – junior flyweight – 10 rounds

Uwel Hernandez vs. Alexi Rivera – super middleweight – 12 rounds

Yunior Menendez vs. Heyder Solis – light heavyweight – 8 rounds

Eveling Ortega vs. Yanissa Castrellon – women’s junior flyweight – 6 rounds

Where to watch it: ESPN+

Friday, December 1 – 2300 Arena, Philadelphia

Tevin Farmer vs. Patrick Okine – junior lightweight – 10 rounds

At the last minute, the entire card has been reportedly postponed. No further notice has been given, and refund instructions should be available already.

Friday, December 1 – Whites Hotel, Bolton, England

Chloe Watson vs. Justine Lallemand – women’s flyweight – 10 rounds

Dan Toward vs. Fabrizio Rubino – junior middleweight – 6 rounds

Friday, December 1Red Owl Boxing Arena, Houston

Omar Salcido Gamez vs. Luis Coria – lightweight – 8 rounds

The 25-year-old Coria was a regular presence on Top Rank cards in recent years, losing to Adam Lopez and Robson Conceicao among others, but he bounced back and now takes on the once-beaten Salcido in what could be a crossroads bout for both fighters.

Also on this card:

Jalil Major Hackett vs. Adrian Gutierrez – welterweight – 8 rounds

Daniel Bailey vs. Malik Warren – lightweight – 6 rounds

Giovanni Marquez vs. Joshua David Rivera – junior welterweight – 6 rounds

Mia Ellis vs. Angelica Rascon – women’s junior lightweight – 6 rounds

Where to watch it: DAZN

Saturday, December 2 – Toyota Center, Houston

Ryan Garcia vs. Oscar Duarte – junior welterweight – 12 rounds

KingRy’s debut at 140 should answer a lot of questions about where his career is headed. Duarte can punch, and the drama surrounding the entire bout can play in either man’s favor once they’re up in the ring.

What to expect in this fight: Garcia is a hungry young man, and silencing critics is his favorite goal. He’ll go for a spectacular win that could help him restore the confidence he may have lost in his defeat to Gervonta Davis.

The winner may go on to: Assuming he’s Garcia, he will topple the apple cart at the already crazy-talented 140-pound division. Half a dozen mega-bouts could loom in the horizon for him.

Also on this card:

Floyd Schofield vs. Ricardo Torres – lightweight – 10 rounds

Shane Mosley Jr. vs. Joshua Conley – middleweight – 10 rounds

Darius Fulghum vs. Pachino Hill – light heavyweight – 8 rounds

Where to watch it: DAZN

Saturday, December 2 – SSE Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Michael Conlan vs. Jordan Gill – junior lightweight – 12 rounds

Conlan was stopped in his last fight by Luis Alberto Lopez in what was the Irishman’s second unsuccessful attempt at a featherweight belt. But he remains a beloved fighter in his country and seems to be inspired to trudge on. Gill seems to be the right test for Conlan at this stage of his career.

Also on this card:

Caoimhin Agyarko vs. Troy Williamson – junior middleweight – 10 rounds

Sean McComb vs. Sam Maxwell – junior welterweight – 10 rounds

Tyrone McKenna vs. Lewis Crocker – welterweight – 10 rounds
