Josh Warrington outpoints Kiko Martinez

Featherweight contender Josh Warrington defeated veteran Kiko Martinez by a majority decision in a 12-round bout Saturday in Leeds, England, Warrington’s hometown.

Two judges scored it for Warrington 116-112 while the third had it a 114-114 draw.

Warrington (26-0, 5 knockouts) is on the cusp of a world title fight. Martinez (36-8-1, 26 KOs) put up a spirited fight but is now 1-2-1 in his last four fights.
