Ivan Calderon remained unbeaten and retained his RING junior flyweight title for the sixth time with a unanimous 12-round decision over Jesus Iribe in the main event of a Fox Sports Net-televised card at the Theater inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday.
Calderon (34-0-1, 6 KOs), got up from a second-round knockdown to outpoint the game and much-larger Iribe (17-7-4, 10 KOs) by scores of 118-109 (twice) and 116-111.
The 35-year-old veteran from Puerto Rico outmaneuvered and beat the ever-stalking Iribe to the punch in the majority of rounds.
