Promoter ‘optimistic’ Artur Szpika will face Bryant Jennings

Promoter Leon Margules remains “optimistic” about the resolution of the paperwork issues that caused Artur Szpilka to be returned to Poland by The Department of Homeland Security after the heavyweight, who is scheduled to fight Bryant Jennings on Jan. 25 in New York, arrived to Chicago on Sunday.

Old school Mollo takes new approach for Szpilka rematch

Mike Mollo was the wrong side of closet-classic heavyweight slugfest against popular Polish prospect Artur Szpilka earlier this year. The 33-year-old Chicago native says he’s put in the right training to win their rematch in tonight’s Friday Night Fights co-feature, but Mollo adds that fans will still get a blood-and-guts fight.
