WBO welterweight titleholder Manny Pacquiao landed in Los Angeles on Saturday, was greeted by throngs of fans and media members, and will begin workouts on Monday at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Calif., in preparation for his June 9 defense against WBO junior welterweight beltholder Tim Bradley.

“No matter what Bradley says I still have the hunger to win. I had a great camp in the Philippines. No distractions at all,” said Pacquiao. “We are ready to step it up over the next four weeks at Wild Card. This is a big fight for me. I can’t wait for June 9.”

Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 knockouts) takes a 15-bout winning streak that includes eight stoppages into his clash with Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs), whom he will face on HBO Pay Per View at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The Wild Card Gym is operated by five-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach.

“Maybe Bradley should come over to the Wild Card and see how hard Manny works in the ring,” said Roach. “No one works harder — no one — and Manny is not ready to give up his throne. Manny is so serious.”

“He gave up playing basketball and that means a lot to him. He is a serious, dedicated athlete going into a very big fight. Now we do our finishing training at the Wild Card. I promise you Manny will shoot the works when he faces Bradley.”
