Nazareno to replace Alta as Pacquiao’s sparring partner

Junior welterweight Dan Nazareno Jr. will fly from Manila to General Santos City on Monday to help Manny Pacquiao prepare for his Nov. 24 bout with Brandon Rios. Nazareno will replace middleweight Marlon Alta, who was reportedly knocked out by Pacquiao in a recent sparring session.

Pacquiao gets through day one of sparring without incident

This week marked the start of the sparring phase of Manny Pacquiao’s training camp for his Nov. 24 clash with Brandon Rios. On Tuesday, Pacquiao sparred with middleweight Marlon Alta and welterweight Fredrick Lawson, who were motivated by a $1,500 bounty for each knockdown scored against the Filipino icon.
