Middleweight Luis Arias remained unbeaten late Friday night with a 10-round unanimous decision over Scott Sigmon at the Carnegie Music Hall in Homestead, Pennsylvania.

With the win, Arias improves to 17-0, with 8 knockouts. Sigmon falls to 29-11-1, 16 KOs.

Arias, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was mostly effective at zeroing in and ripping hooks and right hands to Sigmon’s body. The body punches began taking a toll as Sigmon’s punch output dropped significantly, more noticeably during the second half of the fight.

Sigmon was game and had his moments but Arias was too sharp, consistently beating the Lynchburg, Virginia, fighter to the punch.

All three official ringside judges scored the bout 99-91 in favor of Arias.

The fight was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday in Maplewood, Minnesota but Arias was notified that the fight was moved up a day and to suburban Pittsburgh earlier in the week.

Arias, who is promoted by Roc Nation Sports, hopes to return to action in June and is eyeing middleweights Andy Lee, Caleb Truax, Gabriel Rosado and Arif Magomedov.

Super middleweight Gerald Sherrell (6-0, 2 KOs) of Pittsburgh won a four-round landslide decision over Danny Rosenberger (0-3-2). All three judges scored the bout 40-36 in favor of Sherrell.

Cruiserweight Lyubomyr Pinchuk won his professional debut, grinding out a four-round majority decision over Eric Abraham (1-1). One judge scored the bout 38-38, while the other two judges scored the bout 40-36 and 39-37 for Pinchuk, who was a two-time amateur champion in Ukraine.
