Joseph Diaz Jr., Diego De La Hoya highlight talented card

Junior featherweights Joseph Diaz Jr. and Diego De La Hoya, featherweight Julian Ramirez and 7-foot Chinese heavyweight Taishan Dong will put their undefeated records on the line in a Nov. 13 edition of of FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes’ “Golden Boy Live!” series at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif., Golden Boy Promotions announced on Thursday.

“The future of boxing has never been brighter and the four young men lacing up the gloves on Nov. 13 are among those carrying the torch from one generation to the next,” said Oscar De La Hoya, president and founder of Golden Boy. “Fans will get to see scintillating action from fighters in a full range of weight classes, all of whom have two things in common – they represent the future of our sport and none have ever tasted defeat.”

All four fighters will face opponents to be determined.

A southpaw who turns 22 next month, Diaz (12-0, 8 knockouts) is coming off last month’s seventh-round knockout of Raul Hildago. A 2012 U.S. Olympian, Diaz floored Hildalgo once in the first and three times in the final round.



Another southpaw, Ramirez (12-0, 7 KOs), the 21-year-old great nephew of the late former titleholder Genaro Hernandez, knocked out Ricardo Hernandez in the sixth round last month.

Diego De La Hoya (7-0, 5 KOs) is the cousin of Oscar De La Hoya and returns to the site of his unanimous decision over Luis Ruiz Lizarraga Jr., which occurred on Oct. 10.

Taishan (1-0, 1 KO) debuted by dropping Alex Rozman three times en route a second-round knockout in July.
