Four-division titlewinner Roy Jones Jr. scored a 75-second knockout over Hany Atiyo at The Basket Hall in Krasnodar, Russia, on Friday, representing the 45-year-old’s second straight stoppage and his fifth consecutive victory since falling by 10th-round knockout to Denis Lebedev in May 2011.

The 45-year-old Jones (59-8, 42 knockouts) floored Atiyo (14-3, 10 KOs) for good with a swift left uppercut to the midsection, causing his 30-year-old Egyptian adversary to squirm in pain while in fetal position as the referee counted him out and waved an end to the bout.

In his previous fight in July, Jones dropped Courtney Fry in the final round of a fifth-round stoppage in Riga, Latvia.

Jones’ loss to Lebedev was his third straight, following those by first-round knockout to Danny Green in December 2009 and by unanimous decision to Bernard Hopkins in April 2010.
