Gesta (27-1-1, 15 knockouts) was last in action for a eighth round stoppage of Edgar Riovalle in April to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to IBF titleholder Miguel Vazquez in December 2012.

In the co-main event, junior welterweight Jonathan Chicas faces Emmanuel Robles with a third fight featuring the nearly 7-foot tall Chinese heavyweight Taishan Dong in his professional debut against Ronny Hale.

MAX DELUCA WORKS THIRD STRAIGHT FIGHT SATURDAY WITH GARY RUSSELL-VASYL LOMACHENKO

California-based judge Max DeLuca will be working a big fight for the third straight week when he works Saturday's featherweight clash of southpaws between former amateur standouts Gary Russell Jr. (24-0, 14 KOs) and Vasyl Lomachenko (1-1, 1 KO) at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., for the right to be called the winner of the WBO's vacant belt.

On June 7, DeLuca scored in favor of Miguel Cotto when the Puerto Rican stopped Sergio Martinez in the 10th round to earn the RING and WBC middleweight championships at New York's Madison Square Garden.

On June 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, DeLuca was ringside for the upset split decision victory by Chris Algieri, who rose from two first round knockdowns to dethrone Ruslan Provodnikov as WBO junior welterweight titleholder.

Although DeLuca scored the bout in favor of Provodnikov, 117-109, judges Don Trella and Tom Schreck saw it for Algieri by identical scores of 114-112.
