Is an agreement between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez for a third fight imminent?

That’s the word from promoter Bob Arum, who told The Los Angeles Times on Tuesday that Top Rank (Pacquiao’s promoter) and Golden Boy Promotions (Marquez’s promoter) reached some kind of deal Monday and Marquez is about to sign a contract in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The fight would take place Nov. 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Arum told the newspaper that he must final approval from Golden Boy, which has a contractual right to match any offer to Marquez.

"We met on various issues. We had to adjust certain things, but I'm not permitted to go into details. They [Golden Boy] have released their objections," Arum told The Times.

Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer has declined to discuss the fate of Marquez.

Marquez apparently was with Top Rank President Todd duBoef at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday morning.

The fight reportedly will take place at a catch weight of 144 pounds, three below the welterweight limit. Marquez weighed in at 142 for his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2009.

Marquez reportedly will make at least $5 million to fight Pacquiao.
