Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s preliminary hearing on a number of misdemeanor and felony charges in Las Vegas, which had been scheduled for today, was pushed back to April 28 because of scheduling conflicts.

Mayweather’s lawyer, Karen Winckler, told the Las Vegas Sun that her client is busy and the state prosecutor was working on another trial.

“Calendars are very difficult for someone who is as busy as Mr. Mayweather is,” she told the newspaper.

Mayweather faces eight charges related to an incident with his former girlfriend on Sept. 9. The charges: felony coercion, grand larceny and robbery and misdemeanor battery and harrassment.

The boxer could face up to 34 years in prison.

Mayweather also has an April 25 trial date on battery charges after an alleged confrontation with a security guard. He could face six months in jail for that.
