Lightweight contender Urbano Antillon (26-0, 19 KOs) knocked out Tyrone Harris (23-5, 15 KOs) in the fifth round of their Azteca America-televised main event from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Friday night.

Harris began the bout boxing well, but he was worn down by Antillon's methodical pressure and sustained body attack. Antillon, who is THE RING's No. 7-rated junior lightweight, is now looking for a title shot at lightweight (135 pounds).

In the co-featured bout of the Top Rank-promoted card former welterweight title challenger Alfonso Gomez (19-4-2, 9 KOs) stopped Juan Buendia (14-3-1, 8 KOs) with a perfect left hook to the liver.

Before Gomez landed the devastating body shot, which practically paralyzed his game opponent, the two pressure fighting welterweights engaged in brutal phone-booth warfare, exchanging body-head combinations in close.

Some observers believed that Buendia was ahead by a point or two at the time of the stoppage. With the victory, Gomez, who hadn't fought since being KO'd in five rounds by Miguel Cotto last April, positioned himself as a future opponent for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
