A number of RING-ranked fighters – including lightweights Ricky Burns and Terence Crawford and super middleweights Robert Stieglitz and Arthur Abraham – saw action during the last two weeks, which caused some changes within the magazine’s divisional rankings.

Super middleweight: No. 5-rated Abraham (39-4, 28 knockouts) put on his best performance in years to regain the WBO title from No. 3-rated Stieglitz (46-4, 26 KOs) in their rubber match. No. 8-rated James DeGale (18-1, 12 KOs) scored an 11^th-round stoppage over Gevorg Khatchikian. Abraham will move to No. 3; Stieglitz will drop to No. 4, moving George Groves (19-1, 15 KOs) to No. 5. DeGale will hold his current place.

The ratings committee debated whether to rank Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who looked sharp in outpointing Bryan Vera in their 168-pound rematch, but opted against doing that because the victory is Chavez’s only super middleweight bout and it came against an unranked opponent (who most believe deserved to win their first bout, at light heavyweight).

Middleweight: No. 3-rated Daniel Geale (30-2, 16 KOs) forced unrated Garth Wood to retire after six rounds. No change.

Lightweight: No. 8-rated Crawford (23-0, 16 KOs) won a dominant unanimous decision over No. 3-rated Burns (36-3-1, 11 KOs). Crawford will moves up to No. 3 and Burns will drop to No. 5. No. 10-rated Juan Diaz (39-4, 19 KOs) stayed active with a decision win over unrated Geraldo Robles. Diaz will remain No. 10. Last week, No. 1-rated Miguel Vasquez (34-3, 13 KOs) beat undefeated but unrated Denis Shafikov (33-1-1, 18 KOs) to remain the IBF title. No changes.

Featherweight:  No. 2-rated Orlando Salido (41-12-2, 28 KOs) won a split decision over unrated Vasyl Lomachenko (7-1, 1 KO). Salido lost his WBO title on the scales since he couldn’t make the 126 pound limit. He actually gained 19 more pounds overnight after the weigh in, over 10 percent of his body weight. Salido said in his post-fight interview that he will not fight at 126 anymore. He will be dropped from the ratings and everyone else will move up one spot. Ronny Rios (22-0, 10 KOs) will enter at No. 10.

Junior bantamweight: No. 7-rated Arthur Villanueva (25-0, 14 KOs) won a 10-round decision over unrated Fernando Aguilar. Last week, No. 3-rated Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (25-3-1, 23 KOs) scored a second-round stoppage over unrated Alexis Barateau.  No. 4-rated Tepparith Singwancha (26-3, 16 KOs) stopped unrated Alvin Bais in nine. No changes.

Strawweight: No. 1-rated Kekkie Budler (25-1, 8 KOs) stopped unrated Karluis Diaz. No change.
