WBC super middleweight titleholder Sakio Bika wants to face the winner of the grudge IBF title rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves, which takes place on Saturday at a sold-out 80,000-capacity Wembley Stadium, north west London.

On Tuesday Cameroon-born Australian Bika, THE RING’s No.7-rated at 168 pounds, arrived in the English capital and headed across town to a bustling Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush, where local favourite Groves (19-1, 15 knockouts) was holding a final public workout ahead of his eagerly-anticipated second crack at bitter rival and IBF holder Froch.

The purpose of Bika’s trip soon became clear when, with the Sky Sports News cameras rolling, he issued a measured call out to whoever comes out of this weekend’s all-British blockbuster on top and triumphant. He believes that will be Froch (32-2, 23 KOs) once again, only this time via points.

“I am here looking at this fight to see exactly who the winner is and then to try and challenge him,” said 35-year-old Bika (32-5-3, 21 Kos). “Of course, I will be very happy to fight the winner because with all of the belts on offer the winner could become king of the division.

“I think Carl will win this second fight. He will be more conscious and prepared because of what happened in the first fight. Maybe he thought George was too young. But now he will be more conscious and can win on points.

“In the first fight George Groves was unbelievable. He showed the world he could fight, that he was young and hungry, and that he deserved to be on the world stage with anyone.

“He was unlucky that the stoppage came much too early in the first fight but  in this second fight I think Carl will use his experience to win.”

As for his own options beyond Froch or Groves later this year, Bika is keeping them all very much open.

“I have a lot of big fights out there for me, “ he said. “There’s the winner of this one, there’s Arthur Abraham, a rematch with Andre Ward or even Mikkel Kessler if he comes back. Everyone knows that I am happy to fight anyone and go anywhere to do it.”
