Few boxing trainers are as familiar with Bernard Hopkins as John David Jackson. The former junior middleweight and middleweight titleholder sparred with a young Hopkins, fought him in a title bout and was an assistant trainer for the Philly legend for four years.

Jackson spoke to Doug Fischer about preparing Sergey Kovalev to fight Hopkins on Nov. 8 and about developing the Russian puncher into an elite fighter.
