Three-division titleholder Abner Mares admits that he had to overcome self doubts after his first-round KO loss to Jhonny Gonzalez in 2013 but says he’s had a great training camp and is ready to prove that he’s back against fellow L.A.-area standout Leo Santa Cruz on Saturday at Staples Center. Mares adds that he’s targeting the other top fighters in the featherweight division.
