RingTV’s Cynthia Conte spoke with unified WBC/WBO 140-pound titleholder Jose Ramirez (25-0, 17 KOs) who puts his belts on the line against former beltholder Viktor Postol (31-2, 12 KOs) on Saturday (Aug. 29). Ramirez was set to face his WBC mandatory challenger Feb. 2 in China and on May 9 in Fresno, CA, but both bouts were canceled to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ramirez say he’s looking to collect the other 140-pound belts by challenging Ring champ Josh Taylor. But first is Postol. It finally goes down, August 29, in “The Bubble” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, streamed live on ESPN+.
