And we couldn’t fit all the candles on one cake!

For 96 years, THE RING Magazine has been a celebrated mainstay in professional boxing, transforming itself into one of the most recognizable sports publications on the planet. No brand is more synonymous with the sweet science and the knockout news for fight fans is, THE RING brand is here to stay.

With new publisher Stefan Friedman and recently appointed editor-in-chief Doug Fischer at the helm, our invaluable subscriber base can look forward to significant and exciting changes in 2018 and beyond.

First, we will be returning to 12 issues per-year. In an earnest bid to take THE RING brand into a new digital era, the decision was made to temporarily drop to nine issues in 2015. Now, with our state-of-the-art digital edition fully loaded with impeccable design, rich media and additional content, the time has come to return to our traditional cycle. And our on-sale price will drop from $8.95 to $6.95.

THE RING will also be introducing a guest editor for key editions. First up, in our forthcoming heavyweight issue, will be former two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman, and who better to provide insight into today’s red-hot glamour division than one of the biggest punchers in boxing history?

For the following month, THE RING is privileged to have acquired the services of former five-weight world champion Sugar Ray Leonard. With the biggest rematch in world boxing, Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin 2, scheduled for May 5, there is surely no one more qualified to break down this thunderous middleweight collision.

Our RING championship belt remains one of the most coveted possessions in the sport and it is undoubtedly the most historically significant. That belt will be on the line in the following contests: Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs. Juan Francisco Estrada (at junior bantamweight on Feb. 24), Canelo vs. Golovkin 2 (at middleweight on May 5) and Oleksandr Usyk vs. Murat Gassiev (at cruiserweight on May 11).

Fight fans can expect all this and plenty more over the coming months and we hope that you will enjoy this fresh and innovative approach. THE RING Magazine will continue to reinvent itself as the publication approaches an incredible 100 years of unmatched pugilistic history.

There is no better time to subscribe to RING Magazine and we are currently running a special two-year promotion (PRINT & DIGITAL) to celebrate our 96th birthday: $44.99 Domestic, Canada, Mexico and $54.99 International.
