Junior welterweight contender Jose Carlos Ramirez will face Jake Giuriceo Friday night, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told RingTV.com Tuesday morning.

The 10-round bout will take place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. UniMas will broadcast the fight, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.

Ramirez (19-0, 14 knockouts) last appeared in the ring on December 2, getting off the canvas to knock out Issouf Kinda in six rounds.

The 24-year-old boxer-puncher, who is trained by Freddie Roach, resides in the Central California farming community of Avenal, where he has a huge following. The Kinda fight attracted a crowd of over 13,000 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno.

Ramirez, a former 2012 U.S. Olympian, is ranked No. 5 by the WBC and No. 6 by the WBO.

Giuriceo (20-5-1, with 5 KOs), who resides in Youngstown, Ohio, has won his last three bouts after losing five of the previous six.

Also on the Top Rank card, former amateur standout Gabriel Flores will make his pro debut against Devon Jones in a four-round lightweight bout.

At the age of 16, Flores became the youngest person to sign a promotional contract with Top Rank this past fall. The 17-year-old, who is a junior at Cesar Chavez High School in Stockton, is trained and managed by his father, Gabriel Sr.

Jones (2-2, with 1 KO) has lost his last two outings.

Oscar Vasquez (11-1, with 3 KOs), who resides in the Reno area, faces Alex Rangel (17-6-3, with 11 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight bout.
