Four years after it began, Mike Tyson’s one-man stage show, “Undisputed Truth,” is still going strong and will return for another run in the city of its birth this fall. The performances will take place between Sept. 8 and Oct. 23 in Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The show has traveled the world since its debut in 2012. As described in a release, it features a “no holds barred” Tyson, who turned 50 last week, relating “real life untold stories, peeling back layers of tragedy and public turmoil while unfolding his tale of triumph and survival. In an up-close-and-personal setting featuring images and videos, Tyson delivers captivating vignettes from his life, experiences as a professional athlete and controversies in between. It’s truly raw and electric theater, in its purest form. Live on stage.”

Some of those well-documented “controversies” have even affected the show itself. After morphing into a Broadway production directed by Spike Lee, first-run performances in New Zealand were canceled after Tyson was refused entry due to his criminal record. Nevertheless, the show’s non-stop success is testament to the public’s ongoing fascination with the former heavyweight champion.

Tickets for the Las Vegas shows will go on sale this Friday, July 8, at noon. They start at $54.95 plus tax and service fees and can be purchased at any MGM Grand box office, by phone at (702) 531-3826 or (866) 740-7711 and online at mgmgrand.com or ticketmaster.com. VIP packages with meet-and-greet access are also available.
