It is rare when a female fight is the main event on a live broadcast.

That will be the case tonight as Yazmin Rivas squares off against Ana Maria Lozano at the Gimnasio UAT in Reynosa, Mexico.

The 10-round bout will air live on beIN Sports en Espanol, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. PT.

Rivas (34-9, 10 knockouts) lost the WBC female bantamweight title in her last fight, on Jan. 30, dropping a sixth-round technical decision to Catherine Phiri. Rivas was unable to continue because of a cut over her right eye from an accidental head-butt.

The loss snapped a six-bout winning streak for Rivas.

The 28-year-old Rivas made her pro debut in November of 2001, when she was 13 years old. In 2011 she won the IBF bantamweight title with a split decision against then-undefeated Susie Ramadan and successfully defended the belt five times.

Lozano (12-4, 9 KOs) stopped Daniela Maramara in the fourth round of her last bout, on Apr. 10. In her previous bout, on Nov. 14, the Venezuelan was stopped by current junior lightweight titleholder Anahi Esther Sanchez in the third round.

Opening the beIN Sports en Espanol broadcast, Carlos Diaz Ramirez (19-0, 10 KOs) takes on Robert Marroquin (25-3-1, 18 KOs) in a 10-round junior lightweight bout.

Marroquin, a former world title challenger who resides in Dallas, Texas, is unbeaten in his last three bouts.

Also on the Zanfer Promotions card, lightweight Patricio Moreno (18-1, 14 KOs) battles Carlos Jimenez (10-5-1, 6 KOs) in a 10-round bout.

Junior welterweights Carlos Gorham (15-3, 9 KOs) and Fernando Mata (10-3-1, 6 KOs) square off in a 10-round bout.
