Welterweight Francisco Santana will fight Ed Paredes on April 2, Top Rank Promotions matchmaker Brad Goodman recently told RingTV.
The 10-round bout will take place at the Oceanview Pavilion in Port Hueneme, California, adjacent to the boxing hotbed of Oxnard.
The fight will be broadcast on UniMas (11 p.m. ET/ PT).
Santana (23-4-1, 12 KOs) lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Sadam Ali on April 25 in New York City. He signed with Top Rank late last year and got back in the win column on Dec. 12, knocking out Arman Ovsepyan in the sixth round.
The Santa Barbara resident, who had won 10 consecutive bouts before the Ali bout, trains at Knuckleheadz Boxing in nearby Ventura. Earlier this month, Santana signed a managerial contract with Frank Espinoza.
Paredes (36-5-1, 24 KOs) returned to the ring on Dec. 26 after a year-long layoff, knocking out overmatched Jesus Lora in the first round.
Prior to the Lora fight, Paredes had lost back-to-back bouts against Alfonso Gomez and Alan Sanchez, both by unanimous decision.
Junior welterweight Luis Ramos Jr. will also fight on the Top Rank card in a non-televised bout against an opponent to be announced.
