Nick Blackwell will defend his British middleweight championship against Chris Eubank Jr. on March 26 in London, England.

Blackwell (19-3-1, 8 KOs) claimed the Lonsdale belt in May 2015 with a seventh-round-stoppage of John Ryder. The Trowbridge, Wiltshire, native has defended twice, knocking out Damon Jones and outpointing Jack Arnfield, and now his ambition is to claim the coveted belt outright.

To do so, all he needs is one more successful defense but Eubank Jr., THE RING No. 8 rated middleweight, clearly represents the stiffest test of Blackwell’s title reign.

Recent stoppage wins over Gary O’Sullivan, Tony Jeter and Dmitry Chudinov have seen Eubank Jr. in dynamic, hard-hitting form, and his narrow points defeat to WBO titleholder Billy Joe Saunders in November 2014, his sole career loss, has brought him on leaps and bounds.

The 26-year-old Eubank (21-1, 16 KOs) is ranked within the top ten of most governing bodies but has elected to pursue the British title before hopefully crashing the world scene.
