Heavyweight: Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 knockouts) justified our ranking him at No. 1 by drilling Mike Perez (21-2-1, 13 Kos) in one round. Perez will exit the rankings. Nos. 9 and 10 will move up one spot each and Carlos Takam (31-2-1, 24 KOs), who held Perez to a draw last year, will enter at No. 10. Takam previously gave Povetkin trouble and holds a win over Tony Thompson.

Cruiserweight: Grigory Drozd (40-1, 28 KOs) turned in a very polished performance in stopping late substitute, unrated Lukasz Janik, in nine rounds. Dmitry Kudryashov (18-0, 18 KOs) stopped unrated Vikapita Meroro in six rounds. No movement.

Super middleweight: DeGale (21-1, 14 KOs) won a better than expected action fight, outpointing Dirrell (24-2, 16 KOs) to collect the IBF title. DeGale will switch places with George Groves (21-2, 16 KOs) at No. 3. It’s a close choice given Groves previous win over DeGale but DeGale’s win trumps Groves recent wins. Dirrell will remain at No. 7.

Junior featherweight: Rey Vargas (24-0, 20 KOs) got some good rounds under his belt winning a decision over unrated Edward Mansito. No movement.

Junior bantamweight: David Sanchez (28-2-2, 22 KOs) stopped unrated Walberto Ramos in two rounds. No movement.
