Where to, Adrien?

This boxing season, it’s never ending. And that much more so with all the flurrying of the Premier Boxing Champions dates.
I’d heard that June 20 was going to go to NYC and Barclays Center in Brooklyn; then, no, that night would be in Cincinnati, to herald the Ohioan, Adrien Broner.

Now I’m hearing from a solid source who didn’t wish to be named that PBC will run a card in Las Vegas on June 20.

Barclays Center had been put on hold but, no, it’s looking like “Mr. About Billions,” the flashy and braggadocious Broner, who easily tamed tough out John Molina Jr. last time out, will glove up in Vegas on that night.

Also in the supporting cast, quite possibly, is the long, tall heavyweight sniper from Alabama, Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder. A grapevine source told me around three names are in the mix to get a crack at his WBC crown, which he lifted off Bermane Stiverne to start the year.

Wilder will be in NYC this weekend, scouting another similar sniper, the acclaimed RING champion Wladimir Klitschko, the Ukrainian pugilist-specialist who seeks to make Bryant Jennings join the ranks of the defeated at Madison Square Garden and on HBO on Saturday night. Wilder and Tyson Fury – and maybe Shannon Briggs – are in the mix next if Wlad gets the better of the heavyweight fighting pride of Philly, Jennings.
