Undefeated Philadelphia lightweight Karl Dargan will pursue his third straight stoppage against Canadian Tony Luis on Jan. 30 at Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Conn., Kathy Duva of Main Events announced on Monday.

Dargan (17-0, 9 knockouts), 29, was last in action for a fifth round technical knockout of Angino Perez in September. His bout against Luis (18-2, 7 KOs) will be televised on “ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.”

Luis, 26, last saw action via unanimous decision over Wanzell Ellison in July to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to undefeated Ivan Redkach in January.

“Dargan had a big 2014 and we expect 2015 to be even bigger. With this fight, he’ll have another opportunity to…move up in the lightweight rankings but it won’t be easy,” said Duva.

“Tony Luis will press the action, so Dargan will have to fight…A big win in an explosive fight can catapult the winner to stardom. Both of these fighters understand that, so I expect a great fight on Jan. 30.”

In the co-feature, middleweight Thomas Falowo will fight Russell Lamour.
