Jesus Cuellar-Ruben Tamayo weigh-in results

Jesus Cuellar weighed the division limit 126 pounds compared to 124.8 for rival Ruben Tamayo in advance of Saturday’s featherweight bout on Showtime Extreme from the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Washington.

Rated No. 9 by THE RING, Cuellar (25-1, 19 KOs) has won eight consecutive fights, five by knockout, since being stopped in the seventh round by Oscar Escandon in October 2011.

A southpaw like Cuellar, Tamayo (25-4-4, 17 KOs) has gone 3-0-1 with two knockouts since falling by eighth-round knockout to Jesus Ruiz in April 2013.

For the other bouts on the card, featherweight Gary Russell Jr. (24-1, 14 KOs) weighed 126.6 to an even 126 for Christopher Martin (28-4-3, 9 KOs), Julian Williams (17-0-1, 10 KOs) weighed 153.8 for his junior middleweight fight against Jamar Freeman (13-3-2, 7 KOs), who came in at 153.2; and super middleweights Julius “The Chef” Jackson (18-0, 14 KOs) and rival Jonathan Nelson (19-1, 9 KOs) weighed 168 and 167.6, respectively.
