Former titleholders Amir Khan and Devon Alexander will fight in the main event of a Dec. 13 Showtime tripleheader from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya informed Yahoo!Sports.

An attractive co-feature matching undefeated junior middleweights Jermell Charlo and WBO titleholder Demetrius Andrade has been set, according to Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing, Andrade’s co-promoter with Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions.

Undefeated welterweight contender Keith Thurman is also a consideration for the televised portion of the card.

In his last fight in May, Khan (29-3, 19 knockouts) scored a one-sided unanimous decision over former welterweight titleholder Luis Collazo, whom he floored three times on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana rematch.

Khan, 27, had been out of the ring for more than a year prior to the Collazo fight, last being in action for a unanimous decision over two-time lightweight titleholder Julio Diaz in April 2013. Khan struggled over the course of his previous six fights, going 4-2 with two knockouts.

Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jesus Soto Karass at in June. The 27-year-old contender had previously faced seven current or past world titleholders in his last nine fights, a run that includes decision victories over two of Argentina’s most devastating punchers — Maidana and Lucas Matthysse.

Alexander’s only losses are to two-division titlewinner Timothy Bradley and former IBF titleholder Shawn Porter.

In his past two bouts, Andrade (21-0, 14 KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Vanes Martirosyan by split decision for the vacant belt last November and scored a seventh-round stoppage of Brian Rose in his last fight in June.

In his previous fight in January 2013, Andrade, 26, unanimously decisioned Freddy Hernandez on Showtime.

In his past two fights, Charlo (24-0, 11 KOs) has unanimously decisioned Gabriel Rosado in January and Charlie Ota in May. Jermell Charlo, 24, is the twin brother of fellow 154-pound contender Jermall Charlo.

Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs), who turns 26 in November, scored his third straight stoppage win in April, doing so in the third round over two-time lightweight beltwinner Julio Diaz.
