Brandon Rios-Diego Chaves weigh-in report

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Brandon Rios weighed in at 147 pounds for his scheduled 10-round bout against Diego Chaves, who stepped on the scale at 148 pounds on Friday at The Cosmopolitan, site of their HBO-televised fight on Saturday.

Opening the “Boxing After Dark” telecast, Jessie Vargas will defend his WBA “regular” junior welterweight title against fellow unbeaten Anton Novikov, who weighed in at 139.4 pounds. Vargas stripped down named, but did weigh in at 140 pounds. [Editor’s note: RingTV.com only recognizes Danny Garcia as the WBA junior welterweight titleholder.]

Unbeaten Jessie Magdaleno tipped the scale at 123 pounds while his opponent Carlos Rodriguez weighed in at 123.2 pounds. Magdaleno-Rodriguez is scheduled for eight rounds.

Unbeaten and 2012 U.S. Olympian Jose Ramirez weighed in at 142.4 pounds, while Alfred Romero weighed in at 138.2 pounds. Ramirez-Romero is scheduled for eight rounds.



Shane Mosley Jr. tipped the scale at 159.6 pounds, while Jerome Jones weighed in at 161 pounds. Their bout is scheduled for four rounds.

Unbeaten Saul Rodriguez weighed in at 132.8 pounds, while Orlando Vazquez tipped the scale at 132.2 pounds. Rodriguez-Romero is scheduled for six rounds.

Erick De Leon weighed in at 130.6 pounds, while Pedro Toledo weighed in at 131.4 pounds.

Both Cody Crowley and Herb Begay tipped the scale at 154 pounds. Both live and train in Las Vegas.

Doors to the Chelsea Ballroom at The Cosmopolitan will open at 4:00 p.m. local time, with the HBO telecast beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/ 6:45 p.m.
