In his last fight in May, Mayweather (46-0, 26 knockouts) won by majority decision over Maidana (35-4, 31 KOs), whose streak of four consecutive victories, three of which were knockouts, was ended.

"We have a remarkable team and we're still doing record-breaking numbers on pay-per-view. Sept. 13, back to business, Marcos Maidana-Floyd Mayweather Part II," said Mayweather with middleweight contender J'Leon Love at his side. "And then in May, I'm fighting in May and I'm going to have a big surprise for you all. Surprise. So everybody tune in."

Mayweather's net revenue of $105 million over the course of his majority decision victories over Saul Alvarez and Maidana in September and May, respectively, made him the world's highest-paid athlete over the past 12 months, according to Forbes' magazine.
