Referring to his fighter as a member of Argentina's "Four Horsemen," the agent of hard-hitting welterweight contender Luis Carlos Abregu declared him ready to face anyone in the 147-pound division not named Tim Bradley, Manny Pacquiao or Juan Manuel Marquez.

That leaves the likes of Brandon Rios or someone such as unbeaten Ionut Dan "Jo Jo Dan" Ion, a Romanian who resides in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

"Our dream list would be Marquez, Manny or Bradley but none of those guys are happening. Realistically, who would we like to fight? Brandon Rios or Jo Jo Dans," said Sean Gibbons, Abregu's agent.

"That's kind of the short list because all of the other guys are with Golden Boy [Promotions]. It’s a short list as to what is on the side of Top Rank [Promotions] that they can put their hands on."

The 30-year-old Abregu (36-1, 29 knockouts) ended a nearly one-year ring absence with Saturday night's eighth-round TKO of previously unbeaten Jean Carlos Prada (30-1-1, 21 KOs), rising from a seventh-round knockdown before a hometown crowd in his native Salta Province in Argentina.

Having been out of action action since April 27 of last year because of a right hand injury, Abregu, nevertheless, was impressive against Prada, who had scored knockouts in three of his previous four bouts.

"Abregu is 36-1 and his only loss was to Tim Bradley but now, Abregu's hands are healthy and he's looking like a million bucks. He just wants the opportunity to land in the U.S.A.," said Gibbons.

"He put 10,000 people in the stadium. When it comes to Argentina, he's one of the 'Four Horsemen' with Sergio Martinez, Marco Maidana and Lucas Matthysse. Abregu is up there with those guys. Abregu's a good fighter and he's a little dangerous."

Abregu has won seven straight fights, six inside the distance, since falling by unanimous decision to Bradley in July 2010. Among Abregu's victories during his run was a seventh-round knockout against previously unbeaten prospect Thomas Dulorme in October 2012.

Prior to Prada, Abregu scored a unanimous decision over Antonin Decarie, who entered their fight with a mark of 27-1.

A rising former 135-pound titleholder, Rios (31-2-1, 23 KOs), in succession, has scored a seventh-round knockout of Mike Alvarado in October 2012, lost their rematch by unanimous decision in March 2013 and lost a unanimous decision to Pacquiao in his 147-pound debut in November.

Jo Jo Dan (32-2, 17 KOs) has won three straight and was last in the ring for a unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Kevin Bizier in November.

"I'm not saying that anybody's afraid of him but it comes down to what's best for these guys, financially, a lot of times," said Gibbons of his fighter who initially hurt his right hand against Bradley, then re-injured it against Dulorme.

"We're the WBC's number one contender. The Prada fight was a great one and it was a great night because Abregu's like the Arturo Gatti of Argentina. He gets knocked down but he gets back up. He's promoted by Top Rank. It's all about whether HBO will buy it."
