Unbeaten junior lightweight Rances Barthelemy has signed with powerful advisor Al Haymon, joining a list of recent clients that include RING light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, IBF 140-pound titleholder Lamont Peterson, former RING 175-pound champ Chad Dawson and ex-welterweight beltholder Luis Collazo.

Haymon associate Sam Watson verified the development with Barthelemy (19-0, 12 knockouts), THE RING's No. 3-ranked 130-pounder, which was first reported by Fighthype.com.

Others in the stable of Haymon include Floyd Mayweather Jr., Danny Garcia, Marcos Maidana, Adrien Broner, Lucas Matthysse, Peter Quillin, Deontay Wilder, Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Devon Alexander, Paulie Malignaggi and Anthony Peterson.

Stevenson signed with Haymon last month, with Collazo, Dawson and the Peterson brothers joining thereafter. Haymon was the winner of The Cus D'Amato "Manager Of The Year" award by The Boxing Writers Association of America for 2013 and will be honored at the BWAA banquet on May 1.

In January, the IBF ordered an immediate rematch for Barthelemy and Argenis Mendez, who suffered a controversial second-round knockout loss to Barthelemy on Jan. 3 in Minneapolis that was later ruled a no-decision.

Mendez was restored as junior lightweight titleholder after his loss was overturned and ruled a no-decision by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, which determined that Barthelemy's bout-ending blow had landed after the bell.

Mendez's complaint, also filed with the IBF, contended that referee Peter Podgorski "was not in position to immediately separate the fighters at the time the bell initially rang to end the round," and asked for an immediate rematch, if not, a no-decision.

The 27-year-old Barthelemy's co-promoters are Luis DeCubas Sr. and Leon Margules.

"We have a deal for the fight, and Al Haymon is involved," said Margules. "We're going to do the fight, although we don't know when yet. We're waiting for a date. It will have to be within the next 90 days."

DeCubas said the target month is June.

"That's what we're looking at, so we're hoping to get in June," said DeCubas. "There's nothing set, but we're hoping to have it all situated soon."
