Former lightweight contender Anthony Peterson will pursue his third straight victory against Marcos Jimenez on March 21 on ESPN's Friday Night Fights, Goossen Tutor Promotions and Headbangers Promotions announced on Wednesday.

The younger brother of IBF junior welterweight titleholder Lamont Peterson, Peterson (32-1, 21 knockouts) will fight Jimenez (20-4, 13 KOs) on the undercard of a main event between junior middleweights Vanes Martirosyan (33-1-1, 21 KOs) and Mario Lozano (28-4, 22 KOs) at The Morongo Casino Resort Spa in Cabazon, Calif.

Anthony Peterson, 28, was last in the ring for a second-round stoppage of Dominic Salcido last May that followed a unanimous decision over Daniel Attah in December 2011. Prior to facing Attah, Peterson lost by seventh-round disqualification to Brandon Rios in September 2010.

Jimenez, 30, is coming off a unanimous decision over Jose Hernandez in July that followed a ninth-round knockout of Mario Santiago in last February. Before facing Santiago, Jiminez had lost two straight by fifth-round knockout to Diego Magdaleno in January 2011 and unanimous decision to Carlos Molina in June 2012.

On the undercard, Abel Ramos (8-0-1, 4 KOs) will face Rodolfo Armenta (13-12-1, 10 KOs) in a junior welterweight bout, and Vanes' younger brother, Vatch Martirosyan (2-0, 1 KO) will face Gustavo Lopez (0-1-1).

In other matchups, 6-foot-7 Romanian heavyweight Razvan Cojanu (8-1, 4 KOs) takes on Avery Gibson (3-2-2, 1 KO), twin welterweight prospects.

Twin prospects Kevin and Tevin Watts will be in action. Kevin (4-0, 2 KOs) will fight Gloferson Ortizo (1-0), and Tevin (1-0-1) meets rival , Vicente Guzman (0-3-1).

Also in action against an opponent to be determined will be featherweight Manny de Jesus Robles Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs).

ROBERTO GARCIA GOES AFTER SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN ON MAY 1

Roberto Garcia will be after his seventh straight victory against Victor Manuel Cayo in a middleweight matchup that headlines a special edition of ESPN's Thursday Night Fights on May 1 at the Historic Hialeah Park in Hialeah, Fla., Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing announced on Wednesday.

A 33-year-old from Weslaco, Tex., Garcia (34-3, 22 KOs) is coming off last month's split-decision win over Norberto Gonzalez, and last suffered defeat by unanimous decision to Antonio Margarito in May 2010.

"Garcia is on the comeback trail, and he's won three straight fights dating back to last August," said Margules. "He fought for the WBC International light middleweight title against Antonio Margarita in 2010. He lost a unanimous decision, but that's the only defeat on his record dating back to 2004."

Garcia is facing 29-year-old Cayo (32-4, 23 KOs), whose first-round knockout of Ricardo Veras in August helped him to rebound from being stopped in the eighth round by Emmanuel Taylor last March.

"Cayo is also trying to work his way back into title contention as well," said Margules. "He lost a tough fight last year against a real good fighter named Emmanuel Taylor. But in his most recent bout, he knocked out his opponent in the first round."

In the middleweight co-feature, Jonathan González (17-0-1, 14 KOs) of San Juan, Puerto Rico, will face an opponent to be determined.

Also on the undercard is a middleweight bout between Inocente Fiz (16-0, 10 KOs) and Devon Moncrieffe (9-2, 4 KOs). In separate bouts, light heavyweight Yunieski Gonzalez (13-0, 13 KOs), middleweight James McGirt, Jr. (22-3-1, 11 KOs) and cruiserweight Cuban Vilier Quinonez (7-0, 4 KOs) will be in action.
