English heavyweight David Price will return to the ring on March 29 against Ondrej Pala on the undercard of Marco Huck's WBO cruiserweight title defense against Mirko Larghetti in Germany, Sauerland Promotions has announced on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8 Price (16-2, 14 knockouts), who is 30, was last in action for a first-round knockout of Istvan Ruzsinszky in January that helped to rebound from consecutive stoppage losses to Tony Thompson in the second and fifth round last February and July, respectively.

"This is exactly the type of fight I need. Pala is a guy who isn't afraid to come forward and trade," said Price of Pala, who is coming off last month's first-round knockout of Roman Cherney to bounce back from a third-round stoppage loss to Dereck Chisora in November.

"We saw this when he fought Chisora. Although Dereck got the stoppage, Pala was holding his own, and I don't think he was ever in any real trouble. He just got spun into the corner and the fight was waved off. Now its my turn. I’m in great shape. Everything has been going really well in the gym with Tommy (Brooks). I am looking forward to getting in there and exchanging blows with this guy. I am confident that on March 29 I am going to get the job done."

A 29-year-old who stands 6-3 and hails from the Czech Republic, Pala is 33-4 with 23 knockouts. Price has begun training with Tommy Brooks.

"This is the next step in the rebuilding process for Pricey," said promoter Kalle Sauerland. "Pala has a lot of experience and as his knockout record suggests. He can punch. This will be a good test for David, and it should give us some indication of the progress he has made so far this year."

Also on the card is super middleweight Tyron Zeuge (12-0, 6 KOs) in a clash of 21-year-olds against southpaw Gheorghe Sabau (10-0,6 KOs), a who is after his fifth consecutive stoppage win.
