The HBO-televised Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.–Bryan Vera fight drew 1,390,000 viewers, while the Orlando Salido-Vasyl Lomachenko co-feature attracted 1,017,000 viewers on its own, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Chavez dominated Vera to a unanimous decision in a 168-pound bout at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas last Saturday. It was a rematch of Vera's controversial unanimous decision loss last September that was watched by 1,416,000. At its peak, Chavez-Vera II was viewed by 1,531,000 fans.
Meanwhile, Salido won his featherweight bout by split decision over Lomachenko, attracting a viewership that was 30 percent higher than the number of viewers for Salido's eight-round technical decision loss to Mikey Garcia in January 2013.
