RING/WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson informed RingTV.com on Tuesday that he has signed with manager/advisor Al Haymon, widely considered the most powerful and influential man in boxing.

Stevenson joins a list of clients that include Floyd Mayweather Jr., Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Adrien Broner and Marcos Maidana, among others.

"I've just signed with Al Haymon. Did it about 10 minutes ago. This is a beautiful day," said Stevenson, from the home of a friend in Calabasas, Calif. "I'm going to make more money. This is a great day, and I'm going straight to the bank."

Sam Watson, Haymon's chief associate, also informed RingTV.com that the advisor has signed lightweight John Molina.

Negotiations are ongoing for a May 24 bout that would match Stevenson against Andrzej Fonfara at Bell Centre in Montreal, Stevenson's promoter Yvon Michel informed RingTV.com last week.

A 36-year-old southpaw, Stevenson (23-1, 20 knockouts) would be after his 11th consecutive stoppage win against Fonfara. Stevenson's sixth-round knockout of Tony Bellew in November was his fourth stoppage win in as many victories during 2013.

The 26-year-old Fonfara has won 15 straight, 12 of them by stoppage, and was last in action during December's second-round knockout of Samuel Miller.

The win over Miller followed Fonfara's ninth-round stoppage of ex-beltholder Gabriel Campillo in August. Fonfara (25-2, 15 KOs) last suffered defeat against Derrick Findley by second-round knockout in July 2008.

"We haven't made the fight yet," said Stevenson. "But I'll let Yvon and Al Haymon take care of all of that."
