Mike Tyson to promote new monthly series ‘KO Kings of Tomorrow’

Former undisputed heavyweight champion-turned-boxing promoter Mike Tyson has announced a new monthly boxing series, "KO Kings of Tomorrow," which debuts on Feb. 22 at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa.

A featherweight bout featuring Claudio Marrero (14-1, 11 KOs) against Jose Angel Beranza (36-28-2, 28 KOs) will be the main event of the first show. Marrero-Beranza will be complemented by a bantamweight matchup between two-time Olympian Juan Carlos Payano (14-0, 8 KOs) and German Meraz (46-28-1, 25 KOs). 

Tyson, who will allow at least one chosen ticket buyer a ringside seat adjacent to him, includes on the card 18-year-old southpaw welterweight Erickson Lubin (2-0, 2 KOs), once considered a top prospect to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic team, against Tirobio Ball (4-1-1, 1 KO).

In other bouts, Cuban light heavyweight Humberto "El Don" Savigne (11-8, 8 KOs) of Miami faces former title challenger Tommy Karpency (21-4-1, 14 KOs), Cuban-born junior lightweight Alexei Collado (17-0, 16 KOs) meets Mexican Edgar Riovalle (36-16-2, 25 KOs), featherweight Dennis Galarza (2-0, 1 KO) takes on Jesus Gonzalez (1-1), and Samuel Vasquez (11-0, 7 KOs) fights Berlin Abreau (7-0, 5 KOs) in a welterweight bout.
