Peter Quillin TKO 10 Gabriel Rosado: If Gabriel Rosado attempts to box and move, he could give Peter Quillin some fits.

But I think the warrior in both men comes out. In such a scenario, one would have to favor the bigger puncher, especially if they trade left hooks.

Quillin is not only the man in question, but he also has a powerful right hand. I think Quillin stops a valiant Rosado late.

Record: 13-8 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Gabriel Rosado SD 12 Peter Quillin: Going against conventional wisdom in this one. This fight is going to be all about tempo. Gabriel Rosado needs to set a hot pace and force Peter Quillin into a fight.

If Quillin dictates the style and gets an easy tempo, he’ll pick Rosado apart and counter-punch him silly. have the feeling Rosado, who is much better than given credit for, will come out firing away.

Rosado will fall behind in the first few rounds but with a concerted, relentless attack will surprise Quillin and the fans with his “refuse to lose” attitude and squeak out a decision win.

Record: 16-10 [Alvarado UD 12 Provodnikov]

Peter Quillin TKO 10 Gabriel Rosado: More intriguing. Gabriel Rosado will give it a go. He knows no other way.

But I feel he has reached the limits of his abilities, and when stretched against a guy like Peter Quillin, who is on the top of his game right now, will once again fall short. Late-round battering — and cuts – will undo Rosado.

Record: 13-10 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Peter Quillin W 12 Gabriel Rosado: Gabriel Rosado has established himself as a quality contender over the last few years after making it as a gatekeeper early in his career.

He’ll provide Peter Quillin with a stiff test, and I see this fight going the distance. The longer the fight goes, the better Rosado’s chances as Quillin showed a lack of stamina in his title-winning effort against Hassan N’Dam last October.

We’ll also find out how real Quillin’s power is, as Rosado can take a punch. I think Quillin’s athleticism will prove the difference and he’ll win a tight decision, 115-113.

Record: 10-3 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Peter Quillin W 12 Gabriel Rosado: Peter Quillian should be able to successfully defend his WBO middleweight crown against Gabriel Rosado. But it won’t easy.

Rosado is a proven professional who has earned everything he’s accomplished. The undefeated Quillian is quicker and hits harder than Rosado. I think he’ll either open up some cuts and stop Rosado late, or win by decision.

Record: 6-5 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Peter Quillin KO Gabriel Rosado: Hopefully this marks the end of Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin fighting second-tier opponents. Let’s be honest: That’s what Gabriel Rosado is, and what Quillin isn’t.

Frankly, Quillin was probably past this level a few years back, but for whatever reason, his team has yet to pull the trigger on a fighter who I always thought had the potential to be one of the brightest stars in the game.

I don’t expect that star to dim against Rosado, who should be out-classed and out-boxed en route to a comprehensive beat down somewhere in the last third of the fight.

Record: 17-9 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Chris Robinson, Hustleboss.com/BoxingScene.com

Peter Quillin W 12 Gabriel Rosado: I like Peter Quillin to win a tough fight against Gabriel Rosado. I think Quillin is a little more confident in himself since becoming a champion.

It looks like Quillin may have the edge in punching power. Rosado is a tough guy with a good mentality, but I just have to give a slight edge to Quillin in this one.

Record: 13-6 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

Cliff Rold, BoxingScene.com

Peter Quillin KO Gabriel Rosado: For all the talk of Gennady Golovkin, Peter Quillin has almost as good a resume as a professional and is getting better with each fight.

It might be the case that the two best middleweights in the world are already he and GGG. This is a “comparison shopping” type fight where one can look to one-up a rival against a common foe.

Gabriel Rosado gave Golovkin a spirited effort. Quillin may look for a big performance to combat the hype of his fellow titlist.

Record: 17-9 [Provodnikov KO Alvarado]

Michael Rosenthal, THE RING Magazine

Peter Quillin TKO 10 Gabriel Rosado: Gabriel Rosado is a tough, durable guy who can make even top-tier opponents work hard. He’s not the complete fighter Peter Quillin is, though. Quillin will pick Rosado apart, forcing a late stoppage.

Record: 14-7 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

John Scully, former trainer of RING and WBC lightheavyweight champion Chad Dawson

Peter Quillin late-rounds KO Rosado: I will go with Peter Quillin on a mid-to-late rounds technical knockout against Gabriel Rosado. I just think he’s hungry and big and strong and will continue rolling along as he has.

Record: 16-6 [Marquez UD 12 Bradley]

Rob Soucy, BoxingTalk.com

Peter Quillin TKO 8 Gabriel Rosado: I would say that Peter Quillin has not taken advantage of holding a portion of the middleweight world championship.

At this point, he should have already secured a fight with one of the big names at 160 pounds. Gabriel Rosado is NOT a middleweight, and definitely not a big name.

Although Rosado’s best days were at 154 pounds, he did compete well with J’Leon Love at 160 in a fight that ended in a controversial draw before becoming the no contest.

Quillin should be able to out-muscle Rosado and break him down later in the fight.
Rosado does have some power, but I don’t see him carrying it at 160. Quillin is fighting at home and will win by stoppage late in the fight.

Record: 9-5 [Marquez TKO 5 Bradley]

Anson Wainwright, RingTV.com

Peter Quillin TKO7 Gabe Rosado: Peter Quillin will be looking to make the second successful defense of his WBO Middleweight title against Philadelphia tough guy Gabriel Rosado, who proved his mettle earlier this year against Gennady Golovkin.

I feel this will be similar. Quillin is also a big puncher and will push Rosado back, cut him up and drop him a couple of times, getting the stoppage in the mid rounds.

Record: 8-6 [Alvarado W 12 Provodnikov]

By a resounding, 18-1, the experts choose Peter Quillin to defend his WBO middleweight belt against Gabriel Rosado.
