Promoter and entertainer Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, was arrested Wednesday on domestic violence and vandalism charges involving the mother of his child, according to various reports.

Jackson, who turns 38 on Saturday, allegedly kicked his ex-girlfriend and caused damage totaling $7,100 to her home in Toluca Lake, Calif., according to reports. He faces up to five years in jail and a fine of $46,000 if convicted.

The card he is promoting Friday in Hartford, Conn., featuring a light heavyweight bout between Elider Alvarez and Allan Green, will go on as scheduled.

Jackson allegedly began destroying the property during an argument with his ex-girlfriend, who then locked herself in a bedroom. Jackson then kicked the door down and kicked her, causing injury, authorities said. He wasn’t at the home when police arrived that day.

Jackson was charged with one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 22.

Jackson reportedly Tweeted on Wednesday that he wasn’t arrested even though the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office issued a press release.

The woman, who was not identified, said she had been in a three-year relationship with Jackson.

On Friday, Alvarez (12-0, 8 knockouts) will face Green (32-4, 22 KOs) in the main event on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights from the Connecticut Convention Center. In the co-feature, IBF featherweight titleholder Billy Dib (35-2, 21 KOs) fights Mike Oliver (25-3, 8 KOs).
