On Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Showtime will premiere the first of five episodes of All-Access: Mayweather vs. Guerrero in advance of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s May 4 defense of his WBC welterweight belt against two-division titlewinner Robert Guerrero on Showtime Pay Per View .

Narrated by Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop artist, actor and author, Common, the show will track the events leading up to the 36-year-old Mayweather (43-0, 26 knockouts) ending a nearly one-year ring absence against Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Being a part of All Access really gave me an insight into the process that these fighters go through and what their lives are like when they prepare for battle,” said Common. “It grants the audience at home a backstage pass to one of the biggest sporting events of the year.”

guerrero vs berto_8Coming off November’s unanimous decision over two-time 147-pound titleholder Andre Berto in his last fight, Guerrero, 29, has become increasingly critical of Mayweather, who was the world’s highest-paid athlete last year.

“You have the biggest athlete in the world,” said Guerrero, “the highest paid, acting a fool.”

Mayweather last fought on May 5 of last year, earning a unanimous decision victory over Miguel Cotto for the WBA’s junior middleweight belt.

“For him to speak on anything about me or about my life,” said Mayweather, “first accomplish what I have accomplished.”
