Could Bogere’s ring walk alone dazzle Abril?
Unbeaten WBC lightweight titleholder Adrien Broner, a former WBO junior lightweight titleholder, carries the rap monicker “AJ Da Problem” outside of the ring, yet often enters it dancing and rapping to cuts of his own creation.
On Saturday night, however, unbeaten lightweight contender and promotional stablemate Sharif “The Lion” Bogere (23-0, 15 knockouts) might have a ring walk that could rival that of Broner’s when the 24-year-old Las Vegas resident from Unganda faces Richard Abril (17-3-1, 8 KOs) in a clash for the WBA’s vacant belt from the Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

On the undercard of the Showtime-televised event, featherweight prospect Gary Russell Jr. (21-0, 13 KOs), a 24-year-old resident of Captiol Heights, Md., will pursue his fourth straight knockout when he meets Russian standout Vyacheslav Gusev (20-2, 5 KOs).
The event is being promoted by Golden Boy.
