This year will herald a group of new stars climbing boxing’s slippery stairs and, among them, a clutch of British exponents poised to become world class. The triumvirate of Carl Froch, Ricky Burns and Nathan Cleverly are Britain’s current world champions. By the close of 2013, that number may have doubled.
