Report: Boxing icon Emanuel Steward dead at 68

Emanuel Steward, the iconic trainer and television analyst, has died, according to The Detroit Free Press. He was 68.
Free Press boxing writer Mike Brudenell reported that Steward died at 2:46 p.m. EST Thursday.
“(Steward’s) sister, Diane Steward-Jones, has confirmed it to the media in Detroit. He has passed,” Brudenell said. “He passed away, she said, with no pain. It’s a sad day for the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan, and, obviously, for boxing around the country and the world.”
