Heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder scored his 18th knockout over the course of as many victories without a loss in the second round against Dominique Alexander before Wilder’s partisan fans at Water Oaks Farm Arena in his native Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Saturday night.

Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Wilder is nicknamed, “The Bronze Bomber,” for the fact that he was an Olympic bronze medalist.

A 25-year-old knockout artist, Wilder has 12 first-round stoppages and has gone into the fourth round only once.

The 28-year-old Alexander (20-12-1, 9 KOs) lost for the third straight time and for the fifth time in his past six fights.
