MOSCOW — Roy Jones Jr. arrived today for his fight against cruiserweight contender Denis Lebedev on May 21 at the Krylatskoe Sport Complex.

Jones, 42 and a loser in his last two fights (against Danny Green and Bernard Hopkins), is a heavy underdog against the once-beaten Russian but the future Hall of Famer told RingTV.com at the airport in Moscow that he didn’t come to lose.

"I know that Denis Lebedev is a very strong boxer, but I'm not a weak fighter and never have been,” he said. “The boxing analysts don’t go in the ring; I do. I didn’t come here to play. I’m perfectly prepared to fight.

“I’m at full strength, and I have the desire to win.”

Jones, who had been training near his home in Pensacola, Fla., will take part in two training sessions each day in Moscow. His trainer and family were scheduled to arrive Saturday.

Jones told reporters that actor Bruce Willis will be at the fight.

Here is the official schedule of events in which Jones will take part: May 16, press conference; May 18, open workout; May 19, meeting fans at the Krylatskoe Sport Complex; and May 20, official weigh-in.
